Candy bar FAQs
The questions Aussie candy-bar shoppers ask us most often.
What is the difference between a candy bar and a chocolate bar?
In most cases they are the same product — “candy bar” is the American term and “chocolate bar” is more common in the UK and Australia. On this page we use both to cover every SKU, including fruit-cream, caramel, peanut and novelty bars that aren’t strictly pure chocolate.
Are UK chocolate bars like Fry’s and Curly Wurly available in Australia?
Yes. We directly import a rotating range of UK bars. Right now you’ll find Fry’s Chocolate Cream, Fry’s Peppermint, Fry’s Orange, Daim, and Candyland Dip Dab in stock. Harder-to-source bars like Curly Wurly and Wagon Wheels come and go — check our UK Chocolate page for current stock.
Do you stock vintage or discontinued candy bars?
We keep a rotating shelf of retro and novelty bars like Pinky Bar, Yowie Chocolate and KitKat Japan Mini. Truly discontinued bars aren’t always available — our stock depends on what our overseas suppliers can still ship. Subscribe to our newsletter to get a heads-up when a retro drop arrives.
Are these authentic imports or local lookalikes?
Every UK, US and Japanese bar we list is a genuine import with source-country packaging, barcodes and best-before dates. We don’t relabel local products as “British” or “American”. If a SKU is an Aussie-made alternative, we label it as such on the product page.
Do you ship candy bars in hot weather?
Yes, but with care. From November through March we use insulated mailers on chocolate orders and may hold dispatch on extreme-heat days to avoid melting in transit. If you’re worried about a specific order, leave a note at checkout and we’ll add an ice pack or delay dispatch to a cooler day.
Can I order a mixed candy bar box or hamper?
Absolutely. You can build your own mix by adding bars to the cart, or head to our Chocolate Gift Boxes page for ready-made hampers. For corporate orders or large mixed boxes, contact our Newcastle team for a custom quote.
